Kinnego Marina (Meet - Book Direct)

Friday September 18th, 2026 to Sunday September 20th, 2026 (2 nights)

September gives Kinnego Marina a very different personality from the height of summer, and in many ways it’s one of the best months to stay there. The crowds thin out, the pace slows, and the whole shoreline around Lough Neagh takes on a calmer, more reflective feel. Days are still mild enough for long walks around Oxford Island, exploring the nature reserve, or sitting outside the van with a coffee while watching the boats move in and out of the marina. The changing light in early autumn really suits the place — softer sunsets, quieter evenings, and that sense of having a huge stretch of lakeside almost to yourself.

For caravanners, September is a sweet spot: the site facilities remain fully operational, the pitches are easier to book, and the weather is usually settled enough for barbecues, cycling, and exploring the woodland trails. Wildlife activity around the reserve picks up again as migratory birds begin to return, making it a great time for photography or slow, scenic walks. With Lurgan and the M1 only minutes away, you still have all the convenience you need, but the overall atmosphere is more peaceful and grown‑up than the busy summer weeks. It’s a month that rewards anyone who enjoys space, nature, and a quieter kind of break.
